Me

I am currently 35 and am doing pretty good with where I am at in life.
I have a good job that I like and I make fairly good money. I could be making more doing tech support like I used to but I really don't think I can go back to having people yell at me all day long because "my" software sucks (Yeah, because I wrote the software!)
I am currently going through a divorce. We are different people than we were 10 years ago and my interests have changed to the point that I was no longer happy most of the time. We are still friends and we are trying to make this an amicable (or amiable if you prefer that term) divorce so that we don't resent each other when it is all said and done.
I have gotten back in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism.) We reenact medieval times and I really do enjoy it. I am a late Scottish persona named William Alban Douglas. I shoot archery, am an ok brewer (I have made mead, beer and wine and won a couple competitions with these items) and do chainmail as a hobby. It is winter so no archery right now, don't have the funds for brewing at the moment (raw materials and equipment cost money and I am having to reaquire equipment that I no longer have) and chainmail raw materials costs way more than brewing so that is right out the door also. I plan on attending as many SCA events as I can and shooting archery as much as I can while I am there.

New Format

Someone started to read this the other day and said "This doesn't tell me anything about you!" I guess I better start blogging again so that people can know more about 'me.' It was originally supposed to be a discussion group between myself and a few friends so that we could hold standpoints on certain political and religious topics that came about. I have changed the format of this blog to just be me and my thoughts on what is going on with me at the time I am writing.
